On March 1, 1982 Snohomish County Fire District 7 submitted a proposal to provide Advanced Life Support services to the citizens of Fire District 7, and greater Snohomish County. This decision to add paramedics to our Fire Department marked a significant commitment to improve the health of our community. Ever since this time Fire District 7 has endeavored to be a high quality provider of emergency medical care to our community from basic through advanced levels of care.
Fire District 7 is committed to continuously evaluating the needs of the community, current medical practice, and internal data in order to provide the right care, at the right price, at the right time. We measure this by the following vision, mission, and objectives that drive emergency medical service delivery to our citizens.
Our mission in the EMS Division is to provide the highest quality, evidence based, pre-hospital medical care tour communities. We do this through:
- Integrating internal data and external evidence quarterly to assess key performance indicators against the 90%.
- Utilizing quarterly reports to guide, develop and implement strategies that are the most effective and produce the greatest value to the organization and public.
- Communicating findings to the organization and public to increase awareness and educate on ways to improve overall health.
- Utilizing the Community Resources Paramedic (CRP) Program to holistically address the community's non-emergent needs.
